Lewis Landscapes is based on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. We are a small company involved in mainly local work in Victoria, Saanich and nearby Gulf Islands. The type of work we do varies enormously, ranging from design and consulting to complete projects, large and small, in private and public areas. We are committed to quality workmanship at every stage, with an eye for detail, and at a fair price.
Andrew Lewis
Andrew Lewis came to Salt Spring Island in 1991 from England, where he had his own landscape design business, constructing modern and traditional style English Gardens.
Since 1991 he has helped to create many special garden spaces, working with architects, general contractors, developers, and local government. Much of his work has been the interpretation of the imaginative ideas of private clients.
Andrew has a degree in Biological Sciences, specialising in Marine Biology. His interest in landscape work began in Australia, while working on a large scale restoration project on Lizard Island, Queensland. On moving to Canada, he gained a Diploma in Landscape Restoration from the University of Victoria, B.C. with core modules on environmental re-generation and management. His professional training, together with many years of practical experience working in the forest and on the land, enables Lewis Landscapes to offer landscape and environmental solutions that are sensitive to both the needs of the client and the greater landscape.
